NuvMed

Founder & Medical Director

Roy Sebastian, MD, DPT, MBA

A physician whose path to pain medicine began as a Doctor of Physical Therapy — bringing a rare, movement-first perspective to interventional pain and headache care.

Dr. Roy Sebastian, MD, DPT, MBA — Founder and Medical Director of NuvMed

Few physicians see pain the way Dr. Sebastian does. He's fellowship-trained in pain medicine (University of Maryland) and headache medicine (Duke), board-certified in family, obesity, and lifestyle medicine — and, before medical school, practiced for years as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

He also serves on the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology and is a published, award-winning researcher in chronic-pain and headache care. For you, that means one doctor who understands your pain from every angle — and who treats its root cause instead of masking it.
